Travis began his life as a full-formed human and jumped right into being a healthy, happy, successful presence in the world...MAJOR RECORD SCRATCH...

Let's try that again...

Travis started out life like everyone else, as a cute little potato baby, who took, perhaps, too many years to become self-sustaining. He grew up in Texas loving stories of all kinds, camping with his family, and generally constructing the foundation of a future nerd. His family moved to Idaho when he was just shy of 12 years old, marking his first huge life change.

He would then complete his Eagle Scout at 13, so that he could spend more time dating in high school. Other free time was spent consuming large quantities of Russian literature, among other genres. This was followed by the second major life change where he went to live in Russia for a semester as a volunteer English teacher, fully sanctioned by his wonderful parents. Shortly thereafter, his openness to experience would take him to Spain for two years, then see him move to another state for college, then get married, move again for more college, and start a family with a cute little potato baby to guide.

During all this, he became a teacher, and a pretty darn good one, thank you very much. This was mostly due to his desire to learn as much as possible about as much as possible, a keen interest in humans, and a real hope to help as many people succeed as he could. More life changes came as he moved to Ohio, then Arizona, added two more kids, and reached the status of a rockstar teacher.

In a dark period our hero then went through a psychologically abusive employer, loss of employment, another move, and a faith deconstruction. His family, and Doctor Who, played a huge part in pulling him through. After moving back to Idaho, things settled down a little, until he decided to get healthy for his family and lose 100lbs, and his wife made the courageous (no sarcasm) choice to leave their marriage, which led to more drastic changes. In a most recent step in his story, he got married again after finding a fantastic woman on a vegan dating app.

Seems like it can't all be real, but it is. Not only has he weathered it, but he's done so with love and curiosity in his heart. All this experience he offers as evidence that he knows how crazy life's changes can be. Ultimately his life is a story, and he wants to make it a good one, and he wants to help you write yours too!
